Why do we often observe colorful reflections on slices of beef?

At times, we notice colored reflections on beef slices. Does this imply that the beef is spoiled?

The muscle fibers in beef are quite thick, and when cut horizontally, the cut surface of the muscle fibers forms a regular concave-convex structure. When illuminated by light, this structure visually produces colored reflections due to the phenomenon of light diffraction.

The colored reflection of beef under specific lighting conditions is a natural and commonplace occurrence resulting from its physical properties. It is unrelated to the safety of the beef itself and does not impact regular consumption.
